CalgaryPuck Appreciation Thread

With the current controversy around the YLYL thread (which I am staying clear of) I thought this would be a good time for a CP appreciation thread. Words can't do justice to how great this site and its members are.

And it's not just the hockey that makes it great - that's to be expected - it's all the other stuff. Political discussion, world news, tech talk, architecture, advice on any topic, the list goes on. I have a running joke with my wife that for any question I look here first and she's stunned by the diversity and quality of discussions here.

Most recently I got my new phone 2 weeks early, decided not to get a hot tub, put Kelowna back on my list for retirement, learned a lot about the Ukraine and Gaza conflicts, learned about SAMs, gained new appreciation for our armed forces, was reminded again how great it is to not be single, and much more....all thanks to CP.

So to everyone involved, Thank You!

I agree with what you have posted. I'm a newer member and I wish I had known about this community a long time ago. It is a great source of information and discussion regarding many topics from the Flames to hockey in general, issues in Calgary to worldwide.

It is always nice to find a place on the internet where a new member can feel comfortable and welcomed because that really is not the case with many forums.
