Jim Hughson sounds a little tired today, which is fair, i think he called 3 games yesterday.

I'm watching Norway Austria for some reason. Even though it's the least appealing of all the hockey games it's still better than any thing else going on at the Olympics right now.

Wow, I've never seen that before. A big hit breaks the glass but it wasn't the outside glass on the boards, it somehow broke the glass inside the penalty box. Crazy.

Fair indeed. Spewing 3 games worth of PBP would be tiring enough even without the garbage opinions.

Hire AA Sochi Last Minute Rink Builders. Don't sit in section 102 row 10. Unless you have insurance

You guys need to be exposed to the BBC commentary on the game to really appreciate what we have in Canada. It sounds like you're playing FIFA...sucks the life outta the action.

Agreed, heard them in a pub the other day. The way they call the game it's like they don't really know what they're seeing (which may well be the case for both the broadcasters and the audience)

that was a vital victory today. All I wanted from our team in Sotchi was beating Norway, and I'm glad they were able to do so. Lange instead of Starkbaum in net paid off, and Grabner has been simply incredible for us so far. The new Grabner-Raffl-Vanek line made the difference today. Now it's probably vs Slovenia in the QF playoff ... the team we "know best" because most of their players play in Austria. Will probably be a very close game.

TSN is showing the Slovenia-USA game. The NHL.com links have it wrong. Mark Lee and Cassie Campbell-Pascal are calling the game.

I want Slovakia to win this so I can goto bed .. 3pm work alarm comes too soon

Although I'll admit, getting home from work at 5am to a beer fridge fully stocked (pregnant girlfriend: "you work too hard lately and you haven't bought beer in two months so I filled the fridge for you, relax") and live hockey is pretty great
