It is now 6-2 Finland. Hughson and Simpson are calling the game.

They probably retired a bunch of the lower numbers.

Grabner with the hattrick goal. The Austrians are going down but it's 7-4 Finland.

8-4 Finland at the end. Obviously we all expected a loss, but giving up 8 goals is brutal. Our defense is ... let's say "not very good", and it showed today. Offense was rolling though. If you can beat Rask 4 times, you can't really complain. It's that quality of Vanek, Grabner and Raffl that will hopefully make the difference against Norway. I expect a beating by Canada tomorrow, but it doesn't really matter. The one against Norway will really count in order to get a position around 7 and 9 for the playoff.

Gotta give credit to the Austrians, they only have 3 NHL players on the team and they played well. I will agree with you devo that the defence was the big problem. The goalie, Starkbaum was very good in net facing 52 Finnish shots. http://www.nhl.com/gamecenter/en/recap?id=2013090003

It's game time again, double your pleasure with 2 games starting now.

I don't mind the CBC olympic theme but it's hockey time so crank up the hockey song. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PMJWunuF1vU

Mark Lee and Cassie Campbell-Pascal call the Slovakia-USA and I'll be watching and so should many others because the Russia-Slovenia game has Jim Hughson and Glenn Healy doing the game.

Russia's already up 2-0, game over. Still 0-0 in the Slovakia-USA game with Halak and Quick in net.

USA looks quite good so far, Halak has been pretty sharp early.

Slovakia-USA is a brilliant example of innovative uniform design in action.

USA running roughshot over the Slovaks, could be quite a large margin on the scoreboard if this pace continues

3-1 USA now.

The Slovaks have generated nothing. If it wasnt for a poor clearing and some fortunate events, they likely wouldn't have scored yet either.

Halak has looked pretty good despite the score. Just an outmatched D in front of him.

Slovenia really has Russia on their heels here in the second.

Don't think anyone expected the Russia Slovenia game to be closer than the USA Slovakia game.
