Default Snowboarding Slopestyle

Figured this deserved its own thread since Canada is a favourite in winning multiple medals in this.

Not to mention the drama with Shaun "i fear losing" White dropping out

Wow, McMorris almost didnt make it to the finals as he messed up his 1st run. Luckily, he played it safe to make it in the advancing 4 in the Semis

Staying up late to watch the Finals

I was not expecting to like slopestyle as much I do. Scares the poo out of me though. They showed the course from a go-pro on one of the skier's helmets and my stomach dropped a few times.

For a bit of extra drama to the White dropping out story

Meet the American Shaun White Screwed Over

But enough of that, GO CANADA GO!

neither did i. I thought the half pipe would be the extent of aerial snowboarding.

Seems to be much bigger jumps and more twists and turns in the air

Part of me wonders if this whole thing with judging and White whoever dropping out is part of a plan to bring this slopestyle to the forefront in it's first year of being in the Olympics.

Never heard of this thing before a couple days before now, and now you can't go anywhere WITHOUT hearing about it...

Canada is the master of falling on the last jump.

I am so going to regret staying up this late. Hoping the Canadians pull out a podium finish.

I still don't think that is better than the American's run

McMorris might benefit from the American's score being so high. Everyone has to go for broke.

well he had 85 points and missed a technical element on the rail so what's the point? Can't improve.

Maybe White was right in a way, a lot of riders falling here, just can't be completely sure of the injuries as of yet.
