Great suspension. What a reckless slash.

I'm okay with the suspension. Johnson had lots of time to make any other choice.

Just watched the vid for the first time. They're really upping the ante for what's a suspendable offense these days. Hacks and jabs like that happen every other shift. Between that and the Dion hit that got him suspended earlier this year, I'm not sure what to think. It's potentially a slippery slope to banning pretty much all "chippiness" out of the game.

chippiness? really?
that is a suspension and reckless. Why not skate harder in there and throw a body check, what is the need to two hand someone across the knuckles?
that kind of garbage shouldn't be happening and I am glad he got suspended. He had loads of time to do something else, terrible play.

This was a stupid play, but they need to be more consistent with their suspensions. It's kind of a joke, worse things have happened this season without any supplemental discipline.

I'm not saying it wasn't a suspension, I just know that dirty little plays like this happen constantly.

That is fair, I just think this one look especially bad. He made no attempt at the puck or the body. These players should be suspendable so this can get out of the game.

Looks like a 5 minute major for slashing. I don't really see the suspension? Clean enough player and it didn't look premeditated or anything

baffling how they ignore khadri's reckless hit from behind and burrows hair pull, but go after this.

What do you mean his suspension for his hit on Dion? Even says he's never been suspended in his NHL career . He would of got more as he would be considered a repeat offender.

He's talking about Dion Phaneuf's suspension for his hit earlier this season. Phaneuf got 2 games for boarding.
