Default New 27" computer monitor

Just hooked up an ASUS monitor, 27", used the HDMI to DVI plug and the image doesn't look great, nor can I expand the image to fill the whole screen. There appears to be a black 1" boarder around the entire image. ASUS VE278
Display card is an ATI Firepro V3750

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Weird,

So I used the HDMI to DVI cable provided and I was having the issue in the OP

I went back to the old VGA to VGA plug with an DVI adapter attached and the screen is now completely full.

I vaguely remember running into an issue like this before in that some DVI plugs are not the same and have different plugs on them.

To answer the above question it was 1920*1080 using both plugs. VGA -> VGA + DVI adapter works, HDMI -> DVI didn't seem to work

Double weird.

Now that the upstairs computer is fine using the new 27" (but using the VGA -> VGA/DMI) cable route I can't get the other computer 27" screen to fill the whole monitor.

Downstairs one is going HDMI -> HDMI (into back of PC). Resolution is 1920*1080.

Isn't working. Can't get catalyst to show the settings. Took long enough to install catalyst as at first it wouldn't install without being run in compatibility mode, but now that I've got it launched all it shows is some CPU info. Also can manage power profiles, but that's about it...

Make sure you download the workstation drivers

From control panel remove the previous drivers first, then reboot.
