The Russians inaugurated their national hockey hall of fame yesterday, and by automatically inducting anyone who had received the "Honoured Master of Sports" designation, have managed to create a very mediocre inaugural class of 146 members.

I assume Trevilov was named an Honoured Master of Sports for being a member of Russia's 1992 Albertville gold medal team.

Other former Flames inducted include Nikolai Borchevsky, Igor Kravchuk and Sergei Makarov.

Personally, I think Valeri Bure got screwed...

it won't be a legit Hall of Fame until they induct Ruslan Zainullin.
