No idea what to do with losing lottery tickets? Catch a Panthers Game!
http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/nhl-pu...3720--nhl.html
The skinny: take $10 in losing lotto tickets and go to a Tuesday or Thursday panthers game!
The gem of this article:
"No word on whether they will also take buttons, feathers, shoelaces, hugs, or cut-up of bits of sponge."

Wow. Bring garbage to get into game. How long until they start paying people. I guess they could cross their fingers and hope some one brings a winning tickets by accident.

Franchise is in rough shape until that young talent starts winning. May take awhile too. I would bet they move the team, but there's too much invested in keeping a team in that arena.

The owner might "lose" 30 million a year on the Panthers, but he gains 100+ with the sweetheart deal he has with the other properties. There really is no incentive to move the team.

They should change the offer to be for that week's draw. Boom, profit.

Hmmm I'm tempted to go to the arena and see what I can barter...
*waits for perverted comments*
Maybe my 5 dollar Winn Dixie coupon?

Here I thought this was another thread about the Oilers, and all their losing lottery picks. Disappointed.

I like how the tickets are a $20 value. It's 50% off with an outside chance of winning a few extra bucks.

Except that you are literally bringing them a pile of trash in exchange for admission. No way around it, it's trash with zero value

I imagine (not having bothered to follow the link) that the team gets some level of kickback from the sale of the lottery tickets.

I think he was getting at if you buy $10 worth of lottery tickets with the intent of going to the game, you get your hockey ticket plus a chance to win more.

I assume this is a promotion in conjunction with the Florida State Lottery.
They could have just sold advertising to the Lottery and no one would have said anything. Instead they run this promotion and get the same amount of money but put butts in seats (and probably bring in some money from parking, concessions, and merchandise sales), and they get mocked.
It's not like they're turning away people who want to pay full price for these tickets.

It's a shame they're going through these struggles. I went to a game down there last month against SJ and had a pretty good time. Nice building, good weather and hockey, what else can you ask for?
I did find it amusing (in a bad way) that parking was almost as much as my lower bowl ticket.

In the same revenue sharing league as the flames, remember that next time you spend $100 to see a game
