Default white board material?

Im looking to make a custom size whiteboard. Is this material available any where locally in Calgary? I can cut and frame it for my application myself.

They might have it. Alternatively, you can buy a white board paint from Rona. I have used it before and was happy with the results.

There is a vinyl product that some sign companies use to make custom white boards. I had a huge one done for the office that was mounted to acrylic, we used Ignition Graphics.

I have heard that shower board makes a good white board.

Do you need a large piece, or just a custom shape?

There's peel and stick white boards that Staples sells, so if the shape is small enough you could cut that to what you need and stick it onto whatever backing you want.

You could also go with some white / whatever colour paint and then apply a clear plastic film like Mylar or Lexan after for the desired effect.

There's also this stuff from Home Depot if you want to be lazy -
