I guess they really don't want SOB.

SOB is not a part of the future for the Flames. Billins may be, so give him a look.

I like this! Billins has looked great all year and deserves the call up!

Hope Smid isn't hurt too bad!

May as well shut Smid down for the year.

I'm really surprised everytime I learn he's 24 because he seems like a "veteran" on the heat to me. Didn't really see what he did with his last call up but am curious to see how he slides in, best of luck to Chad.

Most likely on an emergency basis.

Brett Kulak was assigned to the Heat after the Flames recalled Chad Billins.

Hopefully not too off-topic but seems relevant.

I didn't get to watch the game last night. What happened to Smid? Going to miss some time?

Smid went into the boards awkwardly with Derek Dorsett.

The only issues I have with the flames d is too many puck moving finesse guys (Bouwmeester models), not enough bruisers (Regehr) models. I think Burke agrees. And I think that's why there was so much desperation to make Breen work.
