Here's hoping which ever of Subban/Hamhuis plays gets Ramholt levels of ice.

Any indication of who the starter is? I assume Price, but am wondering if one goalie got more time than others.

Odd to have a forward on the PP with all the PP quarterbacks they have on the backend. Especially with Subban. Isn't that the only reason he's there?

How do you not have Keith / Doughty after last games? That's crazy to me.

I'd be okay with Hamhuis / Weber, it's been a few years but they were a pairing for quite a while and it'd be nice to have two pairings with established chemistry.

Babcock said he is going to split the goalies for the first two games and then make a decision.

edit: or maybe he didn't... remembering incorrectly

udated lines:

Pierre LeBrun @Real_ESPNLeBrun
Kunitz-Crosby-Carter; Sharp-Toews-Nash; Marleau-Getzlaf-Perry; Benn-Tavares-Bergeron; St. Louis/Duchene extras...

Also reports that Subban will not dress for the first game, so that is why Sharp is on the 2nd PP unit

If Subban isn't getting much practice time on the PP, then I doubt he plays at all. That is of course unless they need him specifically for that purpose.

Is it weird that I think the third and fourth lines will put up more points than the top two lines? I really like that 4th line especially, Benn and Tavares is a good combo.

Wish it was Giroux / Crosby / St. Louis instead of that top line, but either way, at the very least you have to take Carter off there for Marty, don't you? I don't understand Team Canada's love affair with Jeff Carter.

Not to mention, Tavares and Bergeron on a line doesn't seem like it's going to work very well. Marleau makes sense on Getz/Perry's LW but I'd actually prefer Benn there.

My lines:

Kunitz / Crosby / MSL
Benn / Getzlaf / Perry
Sharp / Toews / Bergeron
Nash / Tavares / Duchene

Carter / Marleau

I bet that Subban plays in the second game. Particularly if the team scores less than 5 goals.

i realize it is extremely unfair to say this.... but the olympics don't start for me until this team takes the ice for game 1.

Disappointed not to see subban out on the PP, but so much talent to choose from, will reserve any judgement.

Subban's played like hot garbage the last few weeks before the Olympic break, maybe he's cracking under pressure or can't pace himself in a full 82 game season. Not at all surprised he's not going to play in the first game.

I don't care for Carter or Kunitz on the 1st line. I hope that changes.

I would like to see Tavares as a Winger alongside Crosby.
Tavares and Crosby would be incredible even though they are both Centers.
Funny how Bergeron the SC winning center of 2011 and again in SC finals last year is being majorly overlooked. Bergeron was the most significant Bruin forward of both runs scoring and setting up several key goals. Boston plays him as Center and Winger. The guy knows what it takes to get to the championship game.

Crosby, Getzlaf, , Tavares are the top 3 WFO % respectively in the NHL this season what a luxury to have on Canada.

So 10:00am starts (MST), what's everyone doing for the first two games given they're on weekdays?
