Meh, this is the Sun anti-multiculturalism. Take one small stupid example and exploded it into "people from other countries are terrible". First, with the other story, they were unsure if the student was Muslim or orthodox Jewish. So journalists have asked scholars from both religions if the student had a case. In both instances, the scholars said they didn't know what passage the student was basing his stance on... from their readings there is nothing saying you need to segregate women from the men in any classes.
Don't think that the Sun is digging up these cases because they are anti-religion. They are anti-CHRISTIAN. It's people of all those other religions that are bad.

I think that if this incident really happened I would be against catering to his request, but it's the Sun and who knows how accurate the article is.
I like this quote, it's a gem.
Quote:
He would probably want to rape her, which is no doubt the real reason this POS muzi doesn't want to interact... can't trust himself to be in control of himself so refuses to participate in anything to do with the female gender.
I was told by a muzi that any female siblings are fair game for sex as the females WILL NOT DARE SAY ANYTHING for fear of death from within... (dishonoring the family)
islam is the curse of the earth

I know what you meant, but this statement was a little confusing in the way it was worded. Sun News is pro-Christian, anti-everyone else. They are Canada's Fox News.
I'm with Hockeyguy15. If there was actually any truth to the story as presented here, then my response would be simply to tell this new student that he can either interact with all the students equally or he cannot be a student.

How is this any different than women only sections in gyms? No one seems to have any issue accommodating that. Also, for what it's worth, I believe that this story is real. In Ontario they were talking about a similar story last week where an online student advised his professor that he would not be able to attend an in person focus group for the course due to the fact that there would be women there and that was against his religion.

I think he meant they are anti-muslim, but yeah it confused me too.

Maybe he just belongs to the religion of "I-don't-wanna-get-beat-up-by-a-girl".

So they need to bring in scholars to know if this guy was "in his right" or not? He's not. It has nothing to do with religion or spirituality and everything to do with common sense and being a human being. I agree with TorqueDog, adhere to the rules of class or leave. I'm sure he could find an all-male/all muslim or whatever class if he wanted to. To just show up and expect people to adhere to your own personal issues is really a problem with religion in general.

Womens only sections or gyms are there because too many guys hit on women at the gym though, so I believe it is different than segregation for religious reasons.
Human rights should come before religious beliefs. If your religious beliefs are that extreme then maybe you should not live in a country where we promote equality and multi-culturalism? I'm not saying that because he is Muslim; I would have the same response for a white person who did not want to be in the same room as a person of a different (insert race, religion, gender, sexual orientation).

Why would you join a co-ed class if you refuse to participate with women?
Sounds like he needs a kick in the junk.
Go join a men's class idiot, problem solved

I think the guy should have just signed up for an all male class.
I also think this girl is being overly sensitive. She should get over it.
