Maata with the winner. Too bad the Flames never got a shot at drafting him (or Ceci)

Sabres get a point. So that's nice, I guess. Too bad they couldn't steal another in the skills competition.

Didn't you hear? That Jankowski kid is gonna end up being the best player in the draft.

Great to see th sabres actually playing hockey lately and get another point tonight. Really hurts seeing Maata do so well though

Olli Maata scores the winning goal with 1:54 left in regulation time, Penguins win 4-3.

Cogliano and Selanne have scored for the Ducks, 2-0 over the Canucks after one period.

Came to see a random Janokowski slam. Left satisfied.

Wasn't a slam at all, hope janko turns out great but I feel the flames should have picked Maata for a few reasons. Hopefully we can snag one of the pens other young defensemen

Anaheim is on an absolutely insane run with 17 wins in 18 games, looking like 18 in 19 now as they are hammering the Canucks 4-0. Absolutely dominate team right now.

So, NOT counting tonight's current slaughter happening at the hands of the Ducks, the Canucks are a combined:

1-5-3 in 9 games vs. the California teams, being outscored 15-30 in the process.
(soon to be 1-6-3 in 10, and currently 15-34 with half a game left vs. the Ducks)

It's funny because if the Canucks make the playoffs (likely I suppose), they will be facing one of those three teams, and to get out of the division they will more than likely need to beat two of those three teams.

Yeah, don't see that happening.

It simply looks like the two teams are on completely different levels. Complete dominance in every zone by Anaheim.

At the quarter mark of the season these were my not so ground breaking predictions. Looks like it's all coming to fruition

6-0.

So nice to enjoy watching a hockey game.

So much for that season turning point 'moral victory' the Canucks had in LA.

Anaheim 4/5 on PP

Canucks have been shutout for 5 periods ( oops..minus 2 seconds) straight on their California excursion.

Men and boys.

Thing is Tortorella has leaned on his top players all season long, so as time goes on you'll see nights like this more often.

Too many hard minutes for the top players, playing a very demanding style.

Canucks get one before the period ends when Kassian shovels in a loose puck after Andersen gets bumped out of the crease. 6-1 Ducks.

Its the gift that keeps giving... Sestito (I mean 'Beastito') picks a fight with Jackman. Lands zero punches and takes 3 solid rights and a good left for his troubles.
