So yeah.. We need to make a change, what should it be?
Fire Hartley?
Trade our vets for nuts and bolts and call up young guys?
Bag skate?
Do nothing until the trade deadline?
Clearly fans aren't going to stand for getting shutout every game (even in a rebuild), what do we do next??
Personally,
I think it's clear we need more young blood in the lineup.
Get the heat guys up here pronto.
If Burke fired Hartley I wouldn't mind either.

Wait for the trade deadline before doing much of anything like any patient team would.
They will not fire Hartley at this point as it serves ZERO purpose, the best trade values will come after the Olympics, and understand that rebuilds are UGLY and thats where this team is right now and what so very many wanted just a short while ago. Well, this is what it looks like so get used to it.

Honestly, some NHL experience with our Abby guys is probably the best thing to do right now. Make the vets earn their ice time, nothing wrong with some healthy benching. Their trade values are at an all-time low, and Granlund/Baertschi/Reinhart need playing time.
Couldn't hurt to try. May as well try line juggling just to see if anything clicks.
We should be waving the white flag for the season and get our end-of-season youth push going early.

I'd like cammi gone as soon as possible only because it scares the crap out of me every time he's on the ice that he is going to get hurt.

Firing the coach at this point does nothing IMO. Are we trying to be the Oilers? Hartley has done some good work this year despite the brutal run of late.
Trades will come in time. Probably not as quickly as most of us would like.
Guys who should be on the block IMO:
Cammalleri
Stajan
Westgarth
Butler
Smith
Galiardi
Glencross
D. Jones
Wideman
Stempniak

Nothing, sell assets at the deadline and get ready for the draft. People wanted a rebuild? Well here it is.

Do not do anything reactive. Frankly dropping into a top 2 draft position would be good. Stick with the plan.

It's a rebuild. It takes years. Get over it.

It's just about time for another random trade with the Leafs.

There is no change that is going to make this team better this year. They are getting out possessed in every aspect of the game. Even when they started out "ok" in October.

Fire Hartley. Not sold on anything he is doing and would prefer he didn't have an opportunity to ruin Monahan.

Agree with the positive patience sentiments here. This is a rebuild, it's going to suck. No over-reactions please from the management.

Tough call...with 3 Flames games (most team's don't have any more) after the break and before the deadline won't make a big deal.
One would think it more advantageous to get those players to the team before the break, to give them that two weeks to get settled to the new city. That means trades (as the TOR/CAL deal with Phaneuf 4 years ago) within the next 3 weeks.
As far as coach....say want you want about the roster, the compete....fact iis he was never meant to coach a rebuilding team...and now with goals in 2 of their last 7 games, although not his complete fault it's showing he's run out of ideas and players are tuning him and his ideas out.

Losing sucks, but the team needs to lose right now. Better in the long run. I just hope they ice a more competitive team next season and don't expect the high draft picks to carry the team.

I don't think they should do anything crazy yet, but I can see Burke doing something small soon. Losing is fine, but getting shellacked at home on a regular basis won't go over well with him, imo.
