Default January 9, nine games.

There is one early game that looks good before heading to the Flames game and then two games to watch after the Flames game is over.

First off, the postponed Hurricanes-Sabres game has been rescheduled for Tuesday, February 25.

There is some issue with the ice in one zone in the Capitals/Lightning game, so they are changing sides when the first while occurs after the 10 minute mark.

Liles scores on his old team. Reimer looks brutal. Leafs suck.

Reimer was the only reason its wasn't 6-1 Carolina after one period. The fourth goal was pretty weak though.

Just saw an neat graphic on the Dallas-New Jersey broadcast.

Longest Playoff Droughts:

1. Edmonton - 7
2. Winnipeg - 6
3. Dallas - 5
4. 3 Teams - 4

I didn't know Dallas had such a long drought.

4-1 now for Carolina. The media is swarming around the Leafs now saying they need to stop the bleeding now or they'll miss the playoffs. They better be careful here or some GM will swoop in and steal Kadri from them in a panic trade by Nonis.

Buffalo leads Florida 1-0 at the end of the 2nd. This is already a bit of a win/win game in terms of the standings, but I'd love to see it go into OT.

No interest in Carlyle, but maybe Burke can tempt Nonis enough with players like Cammalleri, Stempniak and Wideman for their playoff push to steal some young players like Kadri / Gardiner who may not be contributing enough for them at this stage? Salary would be an issue though... no doubt Calgary has some guys who would be immediate scoring upgrades for them though.

With the new conference rules, if Carolina wins tonight does that put Toronto out of a play-off spot?

Weird stuff going on in Buffalo.

Looked like the Panthers scored on their 2nd shootout attempt. One ref says goal, the other says no goal. Ended up no goal.

On the Panthers 3rd shot, the puck bounces off the post, off Enroth, and into the net. Again, one ref says goal, the other says no goal. Ends up a goal.

Florida wins the game.
