Yeah I noticed the Ramo thing too but I'm sure the goalie coaches will address it. They've been doing pretty well at addressing the weaknesses in both goalies this year.

(quote) Just hate it when guys are born in cities where their dads play messing up their citizenship for international competitions going forward. Paul Stastny should not be playing for the American’s in any tournament, just seems wrong. (quote)

Paul Stastny was actually born in Quebec City but grew up in the US. He played both USHL and US college hockey, so he really has more of a right to play for the US than for Canada.

Yeah, I am in the same shoes as Stastny. Was born in Canada, but have lived in the U.S. my whole life.

All good, thanks

But I'm saying Slovakia got ripped off, not Canada

Big news was that not only did Stempniak kick in with an assist (basically got knocked off the puck and Monahan picked it up) but he went even on +/-.

He should be traded for a 2nd round pick.

Actually significant news is that the Flames record with Gio and Wideman both in the line up improves to 5-3-2

Yeah, that's what I thought you were saying. Anyway you shake it, the Americans seem to come out on top with recruiting players of dubious nationality to play for their country.
