My goat was Colborne for the penalty followed by the giveaway leading to the second goal. He had a hand in both, Berra only in one.
Thought he played well until then.

Mine was Brodie for getting beat like a rented mule by Reilly. Should never have gotten past Brodie when he had postion on him.

I can't disagree with you. Thought Boidie was otherwise good, and I harken back to Colborne having a hand in both...
That being said, this was a great atmosphere for a game. Greatest in a while.

Probably unfair to single out Brodie or Berra. We grinded it out the with Bruins for 2 periods and stopped doing what has given us the most success. Give it to the whole team.

I have to disagree. Brodie played him exactly as he should have. He kept him to the outside and forced him to shoot from a bad angle. If he had come out front and deked Berra to score the yes I would put the fault on Brodie but Smith was forced to shoot from an angle that should not result in a goal.

The replay clearly shows Berra push off the post to the centre of the ice giving Smith a place to score.

Disagree. Brodie cheated just enough to give Smith an angle. Watched the replay 6 or 7 times, if Brodie didn't cheat to the outside, there would be no shot on net. I think Berra didn't expect Brodie to get caught, and therefore, was unprepared when the shot came. Brodie should never have let him get that close to he net. The more I look at it, they both shoot left and Brodie SHOULD have had him.

What puzzles me is why Berra was down so early. I think he was entertaining the possibility of a centering pass.

I guess what i'm trying to say, is they are both at fault.

Mr. Clutch got burnt bad. The outcome was inevitable totally dominated in the third.

How did the Flames outshoot the Bruins was Rask's dad counting shots against for him?

Maybe it is just the dome but I guess it doesn't matter who he is playing for Iggy misses the net quite a bit.

Losing 2-1 to one of the best teams in the league is nothing to be ashamed of but you could see this coming as it played out like a lot of recent games where the Flames bring a 1 goal lead into the 3rd and just try and hold on instead of continuing to skate and dictate pace as they did in the first two periods. This comes with being a younger team.

I don't think any single player had a bad night but how many times is Berra going to crap the bed in the 3rd period? TSN showed a stat that his 1st and 2nd period SV% is around the .920 mark and drops to around .850 in the 3rd period. Not a very clutch statistic. Not sure how Hartley felt he earned the start in the first place given how steady Ramo had been prior to the weekend back to back games. Like a poster said earlier there are times you think Hartley is a pretty good coach but then there are things like the favoritism that just make you shake your head and wonder if he's one of those guys that just can't get out of his own way.

I'm going to bring up a name that wasn't discussed last night and quite frankly hasn't been much of a topic all season because he's kind of just faded away in the background not doing much of anything significant either way. When are we going to see anything from the $12 million dollar man David Jones? The guy is making almost the same amount of money as Hudler and it doesn't take a rocket scientist to see which player the Flames are getting their money's worth from. I know the Flames owners are being more frugal with the purse strings but I have to think they at least entertain the thought of buying out the last two years of this deal. I know fans will say he hustles but can anyone say if he was out of the lineup that anyone would even notice?

Mr. Clutch should have been Iggy's dad for still wearing a Flames jacket. Class
