"If it sells for the current asking price of $10 million, a luxurious penthouse condo in Calgary's Beltline neighbourhood will smash real estate records"

The current owner likes brown a hell of a lot more than I do.

Thats a deal breaker.

I wasn't interested at all. But after reading the cutlery is included, well now I'm thinking about it.

Yeah, kind of. I don't know if there are different names for different parts of The Beltline, but if there are, that might be called the "Light Industrial Buckle". And that decor is really something else. It's got all the coziness of a western-themed corporate retreat.

Real Estate Prediction: if this place sells for a record price, that record will be broken when some high-roller realizes that at his new place in "The River", his cars and all the mechanical whatnots in his building will actually be in the river.

Yikes, that's pretty ugly for $10M. I guess taste is subjective. For some reason, I picture the owner of that place looking like that Texas guy in a cowboy hat on the Simpsons.

This made me laugh because you have no idea just how close to the truth you are both literally & figuratively.

This condo has a "direct elevator", which is nice.

The other side of this story is that there are only 2 elevators functioning in these buildings (30+ stories). This translates to a 10 minute wait every day just to get in and out.

Overall I like the way Keynote was built (smaller towers + commercial/retail space), but they failed so hard on the livability of that building it's a waste of time to even consider it. I have nothing but pity for the poor suckers who bought into that building.

If money was no object, and I could buy that place and renovate to suit my tastes, there is extremely little that I would keep.

Maybe a couple of the appliances.
