Unsure but lower body injuries on goalies suck. There is so much strain on the lower body in the butterfly that you have to be at or near 100% to be able to play.
I'm thinking Ramo will probably get a rest until after the Olympic break at least.
Call up Ortio and maybe give him a game.

Wouldn't it be better to put Ramo on IR?

Hope its Ortio coming up. Got a feeling that it will be McDonald, so they can let Ortio keep giving the Heat quality goaltending.

that's what I thought too. Maybe Ramo is just day-to-day and they want to bring up Ortio for Tuesday, just to be sure

I really hope it is Ortio too, he deserves it after the season he has had.

MacDonald is injured I believe. Roy has been the backup for Ortio this weekend

I think McDonald is out right now anyways with a head injury.

I think it might be Ortio so Burke can see what he looks like at the nhl level.

I'd give Ortio the start on Tuesday. Worked for Berra in Chicago. See if we can catch lightning in a bottle twice this season.

Just watched the post-game presser with TGW and he said if Flames need a goalie, Orts is the only one left for them to call up. He also said he'd be happy for Orts as he's been very deserving of a call.
Truthfully, us Heat fans are hoping that Orts doesn't need a recall, because he is basically the pillar of strength that keeps the Heat in every game.

It would be a good opportunity for both Ortio and Roy. Ortio deserves some recognition for his performance in the AHL and I'd like to see him get a couple of games (maybe vs. the Isle on Thursday?). I also want to see what Roy can do in Abbotsford. I don't have high expectations but I am still curious. He hasn't shown much in Edmonton but then again it was Edmonton...

3/4 AHL starts for Roy were good. One was not. He wasn't going to get a look with Orts playing lights out, so this was basically the only way he was going to get a look.
I'm trolling twitter hard to look for a Ramo update.

Is ortio on a two way contract? If he gets called up and Ramo returns, I would not want to risk putting ortio on waivers.

Don't you have to have a certain number of games/seasons played before needing waivers?

With the Olympic break coming up he wouldn't miss that many games would he? I assume the Flames would send him back down over the break.

Two-way vs. one-way contracts has nothing to do with waiver eligibility.
