Default Pipes frozen - problem?

The cold water in my ensuite bathroom won't turn on. The water pipes (pex) for that location look like they run through near the exterior of the house, so I am thinking that it might be frozen in the pipe somewhere.

All other taps in the house work, including the toilet and shower in the same room and hot water in the same sink and there doesn't seem to be any water in the pex itself.

The bathroom is typically pretty cold but not like below freezing or anything.

Is this a major concern? Can pex burst?

Can I thaw it somehow? I could put a space heater in the bathroom or in the closet in the floor below. Right now, I am just running the hot water in hopes that the heat helps the the nearby pipe thaw.

Is some way I could force hot water back down the cold pipe, or would it have a backflow preventer.

Like 6 years old.

Anyway, with the hot water on for 10 or 15 mins, the cold water came back on.

I am going to leave them both dripping for a couple hours, just in case.

Ya pex can split. Space heater is a good idea. Open up your vanity and pull everything out. Also make sure you know where your main line shut off is, and keep your fingers crossed. Had 1 split a few years ago. I forgot to unhook a garden hose.
Didn't find out untill the next chinook. Basement was pretty darn wet.
