Default November 12, ten games!

A busy Tuesday in the NHL.

Nationally televised games

On TSN
Jets at Red Wings, it is 1-0 Jets midway through the first period.

On RDS
Lightning at Habs
The Lightning have a 1-0 lead late in the first period.

At 1800h on NBCSN
Coyotes at Blues on Centre Ice in Canada
The NBCSN simulcast game was originally supposed to be on TSN2, but a late switch has TSN2 televising the Duke vs Kansas NCAA basketball game instead.

Nashville N.Y. Islanders
Los Angeles Buffalo
Columbus Washington
New Jersey N.Y. Rangers
Colorado Carolina
Philadelphia Ottawa
Anaheim Florida

Philly has started to look better... I think the threat of any one of them being traded to the oilers helped them get their heads out of their asses and play hockey.

Pretty sure that is going to be the best way to motivate players now... "step up or we'll trade you to the oilers"

That motivation definitely worked in their game against Ottawa. The Flyers defeated the Senators 5-0, Ray Emery with the shutout and Craig Anderson let in all five goals.

The surprise game of the night had the Hurricanes defeating the Avalanche 2-1 in regulation. It is the first loss on the road for the Avalanche this season.

The other surprising result was the Panthers 3-2 regulation win over the Ducks. Anaheim blew a 2-0 lead.

The Predators are having a very difficult time scoring goals. They lose 3-1 to the Islanders. The single goal the Predators scored is the first one in three games.

The Devils won 3-2 over the Rangers in regulation. Brodeur was in goal and gets the victory.

Odd goal review in the Tampa/Montreal game. Puck crosses the goal line and hits the back bar but play continued due to how fast the puck came out. They review it at the next whistle and call it no goal due to incidental contact with the goalie. I always thought that they couldn't review a goal for that reason.

That is a big win for the Sabres over the Kings, 3-2. In OT, the Capitals beat the BJs 4-3 and the Coyotes over the Blues 3-2. The Jets win in the SO, 3-2 over Detroit. Tampa in the SO, 2-1 over the Habs. That makes 8 of 10 OOT games decided by 1 goal.
