Good loss if there's such a thing. Great overall effort tonight and just couldn't get that 3rd goal much like last night. Avs were really good at clogging up the shooting lanes in the 3rd period. Not much to be upset about with this one as the Flames are simply in a really difficult stretch of opposition with the Sharks up next. Will be nice when they get a chance to play a team that isn't at the top of the league.

Great effort. Crappy result. This team never quits, and I love that. I just wish we had the talent to get a few more W's. But it is what it is. Gotta be patient.

Hard to be too upset about this. Flames played very well.

These are the kind of losses I can handle. Great effort.

I really liked the lines in the 2nd half of this game. The Cammy-Backs-Hudler line was dangerous when they were put together.

When the Flames are all healthy, i'd like to see something like:

Cammalleri-Backlund-Hudler
Glencross-Stajan-Stempniak
Baertschi-Monahan-Reinhart
Galiardi-Bouma-Jones

Smid-Wideman
Giordano-Brodie
Russell-Butler

Love that they don't give up and mail it in when they are down. Thought Ramo made some great saves.

Dennis wideman is atrocious. He's not a 30 minute guy. Just bad overall.

Shane Obrein is the direct result if that 3rd goal.

Overall the effort was great.

Great game by the Hudler/Cammy/Backlund line. Hopefully Backlund is showing his value to the coach...that was one of his best games all year.

Ramo was really solid...made some solid saves and kept the team in it. They just couldn't finish in the third.

Nice to see Cammy racking up those goals. That definitely won't hurt come deadline time!

Last two games you watch the first period and think it's so obvious we're in a full on rebuild mode because we're just being dominated by teams far ahead of us in the standings. Get down a couple/few goals early. But when it's all said and done we basically lose by a single goal while also giving ourselves multiple chances to come back and tie and/or win it.

Good effort as always, very entertaining game to boot.

Great effort, looks like some effective line combos going forward. Reinhart is a natural on the walls, good fit with Monahan & Sven.

Missed all but the last minute. Coles notes from anyone? What was the good and the bad?

A couple defensive breakdowns and a 5 on 3 PP goal against. Colorado didn't exactly blow the Flames out of the water, but they capitalized when they needed to. Difference between a winning team and a losing team. Not enough finishers on this team.

Hudler a wizard out there. Very solid.
Some junk calls, especially the Galiardi slash, and that goal was the difference on the 5 on 3.

The first stretch of games we had that surprise finisher in Monahan. Needed that sort of unexpected goal scorer the last two games and maybe the Flames have 4 points in the last two nights rather than 0.

No matter the opponent, that's the Western conference...tough teams. No easier with SJ next, and at some point "good effort, almost tied it" starts to be more frustrating then something positive.

More entertaining than Thor 2. This is the sort of game that leads me to believe the rebuild will not be a decade of wandering in the desert.

Ramo had a really strong game.

Sven was out in the last minute, Hartley must really hate him.

Backlund was strong. Cammi is worth a first at the deadline, but I'm not certain we shouldn't try to extend him at the right dollar figure.

Brodie was excellent. His offense will come. Really impressed by him.

Monahan wasn't as assertive as I'd like to see him until the end of the game.

Smid will help this team.
