Nov 5; We need these when Edmonton plays, so tonight
Edmonton now plays today. Edmonton may win, but hopefully and likely they will lose.

Sadly, edmonton doesn't play tonight. Watching winnipeg lose will have to be enough for tonight.

Nothing wrong with starting the next coiler loss thread a day in advance. Keep up the good work.

If this is going to be an Oiler thread, you need to show a little less enthusiasm. But you seem to have given the incompetence angle a good go!

I'm pretty positive the Oilers will find a way to lose tonight.

Apparently we have two teams in Calgary and both are still better than the Oilers.

Oh look, a Jets fan. I guess they must have won tonight.
But seriously, how much more does tonight's game emphasise how truly pathetic the Oilers are? Even an awful team like the Jets can play hard and put in a NHL worthy performance on occasion. It was a night-and-day difference between this and Saturday's game in Edmonton, in which the Oilers were man-handled by a tired team, on the second game of back-to-backs, and playing their rookie backup goalie.

For some reason I'm still pretty confident that the Oilers will finish ahead of the Flames this season.
At some point the Oilers will get on a roll and win a string of games. I think the Flames have already had their roll, and the season just goes downhill from here.

But I thought this was the year the Oilers would finally move past the "cusp"
Also finishing ahead of the Flames shouldn't be an accomplishment for a team like the Oilers, who already finished ahead of them last year.

Is finishing ahead of a team in the first year of a rebuild that much of an accomplishment? According to Oilers' fans Edmonton should be contending for the Cup by now, or at least be in the playoffs. But nope all you're hoping for is to be ahead of the Flames. Congrats I guess on not setting your expectations too high though.
I think we all should sort of hope they bounce back a bit, but not enough to make the playoffs. That way everything will be remain the same, and we'll have some more fun next year at the extent of their utter crapieness.
