With this heat I've been thinking of going swimming somewhere (not a pool).. Anybody here know of any good places? I heard there is an area west of the city where there are cliffs to jump off of but I'm not sure. That or possibly rent a tube and go down the river though I'm not sure which is better to go on with a tube, the elbow or the bow?

Any suggestions?

here's that link for the swimming hole/cliffs
http://www.natureshideaway.com/

I used to go there alot, but I havent been there in about 5 or so years. The website says that it is closed now because of the flooding. Wouldnt hurt to give them a call though. Sandy Beach in Calgary is also a good spot...usually lots of *ahem* beachwear there. Good place to go swimming with your hound if you have one. A place called twin bridges, If I remember correctly, its near highway 8 and sarcee...another good place for river swimming

Good luck
