How not to promote your Chiropractic Practice
I wonder if he left the kid his card....I kid, I kid.
Too many of these incidents to shock me anymore but, I can't get my head around how a middle aged, well educated person, with no prior record could mentally get themselves into a state where, in front of a bunch of other parents and kids, they take a ridiculously extreme and stupid action that will without a doubt materially harm themselves and their loved ones and likely destroy their own lives, much less the life of the kid he chose to attack.
You have to think that there was at least a minute or so between the time where his kid was elbowed and the time that a 6"3 230 lb bleacher bum could have made it on to the ice to attack the perpetrator....at no point during that time period did a brain synapse fire in this guy's head telling him this might not be the best idea?

I think it is a stock photo or a photo from some event that they are videoing. That image has nothing to do with the discussed incident.

His website must be getting a lot of hits.

Chiropractors give real doctors a bad name. Kinda like history PhDs who insist on calling themselves Dr. Anyways, parents like this are terrible.

I'm moving to Florida soon and am looking to take over a practice. I wonder if he'd be selling now.

So a Ph.D. is on the same level as a chiropractor degree. Right.

Having a PhD myself, I always marvel at the plethora of professions that have co-opted the term Dr as a professional designation.
Registered medical practitioners hold the degree of Bachelor of Medicine (usually also with surgery). Though they are holders of bachelor-level degrees, history has allowed the use of the title doctor by physicians, however, it is recognised that it is in essence an honorary or courtesy title.
Healthcare professions for which members may be called by the title of doctor are: Medicine, Dentistry, Chiropractic, Optometry, Veterinary medicine, Podiatry and, more recently, Pharmacy.
While such degrees are considered professional doctorates and are entitled to use the title of "doctor," they are not "equivalent" to the PhD in that PhD students generally complete a longer program that includes the production of a dissertation that adds to the knowledge in the student's field, according to the U.S. Department of Education (2008).
In no way do "first professional degrees" equate to PhDs. They are chalk and cheese.
My apologies for derailing the original tack of the thread.

There's a chiro on every corner .
It's interesting that Oprah's crew has endorsed this guy.

Will this case be dismissed, based on the vague "Stand Your Ground" law?

Haven't heard anything more about this.
