unreal news. I can't wait to see this team healthy

Sven-Monahan-Hudler
Cammy-Backlund-Jones
Glencross-Stajan-Stempniak
Bouma-Colborne-Galliardi

Dang that doesn't look nearly as bad as it would have a couple weeks ago.

Yeah I like getting Jones back, but I think the Flames have to seriously consider trading Stajan at this point. Maybe packaged with Butler and a pick for a dman.

We could be like DET, with no fighters as forwards - no Jackman or McGrattan. The old 4th line model may be dying.

I think Stajan's ability to win faceoffs at even a 50% level is invaluable right now. Wait until the deadline to make a move.

They should be looking to upgrade the blue line...obviously not at the cost of a young player

Stajan was playing great before he got injured. Hopefully he picks up where he left off and can help improve the face off %. He may be traded later this season but I would wait to up his value before doing that.

I really like those lines. Any of those top 3 lines against other 3rd lines is a good match up IMO.

I think with a fully healthy line-up, we look something like this:

Baertschi - Monahan - Hudler
Cammalleri - Backlund - Stempniak
Glencross - Stajan - Jones
Bouma - Colborne - Galliardi
McGrattan/Street

With McGrattan rotating in for Bouma or Colborne when we need a tough guy and Street rotating in when we need to give someone a break.

Is it safe to say that the Monahan line is now the #1 line?

If Monahan is staying... wouldn't be a bad time to move a forward to a team looking for some depth. Does this mean Street is bumped out of the line up?

I don't see a need for Street once these 2 are back

I really hope we see some trades to get more young blood into the lineup

2 of Street, Horak, McGrattan, and Jackman have to be demoted to Abbotsford to allow Jones and Stajan back on the roster.

Street is still can be sent down without waivers as it hasn't been 10games or 30 days since he last cleared.

I'm not discounting his play, I think he's been great since the start of last season. But we just have backlog of young centers stepping up and Stajan is the oldest/most talented guy being pushed out. I don't mind waiting until the deadline, but the Flames are in a position to make some good moves that can secure a good future and I don't want them to miss that, or to hinder the development of young players to "showcase" vets. Stajan has been around long enough that teams know what they get in him. And his play last year and the beginning of this year has already given his stock a boost.

I think Cammy - Backlund - Jones will be our #1. Backlund has been super tough this year and Jones is the same. It matches up best with opposing top lines IMO.

Really good depth in the forward group.

Cammy- Backlund- Jones
Glencross- Stajan- Stempniak
Baertschi- Monahan- Hudler
Bouma- Colborne- Galiardi
McGrattan/Street

Wonder if a team in the East will want Jackman to provide some toughness.

Id assume Horak and Street.
