Default My band, Go For The Eyes, will be playing tonight's Home Opener party!

Hey CP!

First of all, thank you to everyone who has taken time to vote for us in the SiriusXM "Rock The Grey Cup" contest. We are a week or two away from finding out the winner, so keep your fingers crossed!
It would be a major thrill to represent Calgary by playing at the Grey Cup Festival!

In addition to our pre-game and half-time performances at the Stamps' Labour Day Classic, we will be playing at today's Flames home opener! We're playing two sets at the Budweiser Stage (South side of the 'Dome) as part of the festivities. I believe our first set begins at 3pm. Due to my love of hockey (and CP, of course), this is a huge honor to be playing today. I just wanted to get the word out there in case anyone is going to be around. Hope to see some of you out to party and talk some hockey! GO FLAMES GO!

I was subbing at another pool today and the girl I was working with was telling me that one of her co-workers was opening at the game today. Small world. Cool story bro.

Hope you nailed it!

I really enjoyed your music. Also, I would like to say that your equipment setup and balance of instruments was very well done. It wasn't overblown in anyone area or way too loud. A+++

Damn, wish I read this before I went. I would've been up front instead of up the back by the Bud bus. Your 2nd set (about 5?) was great as others have already said.

I for one love the fact that someone from 'Go For the Eyes' posts on CP.

Keep us in the loop man.

Oh man, it's so rad to see all your comments! Thank you guys so much. We did indeed have a great sound setup, thanks to our buddy Gavin. It was such a thrill to play before the game. We even got our picture with Theo Fleury, which I can post at another time. *insert internet social media nerd voice* Theo even retweeted us on twitter! *end of scene*

I was pretty happy with how we played. One of the coolest things was that we were playing right underneath the c-train overpass. Mid-set, I looked up and there were a bunch of people lined up, watching us from above. I had to keep playing to them as much as the people on the ground level, so that was really cool!

On the topic of epic sports shows, I just wanted to remind everyone that we only have 4 days left in our SiriusXm "Rock The Grey Cup" Contest. Your vote gives us a chance to represent Calgary at this year's Grey Cup Festival AND, each time you vote, you get a chance to win a trip for two to this years Grey Cup! After playing at the Labour Day Stamps game and now the Flames opener, playing at the Grey Cup Festival would be a pretty epic sports/music hat-trick for us. I'll post the link below:

Oh, and here`s a photo of us from the opener. I`m rocking the pedestal jersey:

THANKS CP! It`s so awesome to have your support!
