[Signing] Florida Panthers sign Ryan Whitney

Multiple media outlets reported Sunday night that the Panthers have signed free agent defenseman Ryan Whitney to a one-year contract. TSN's Bob McKenzie is reporting the deal is worth $900,000.

Whitney's injuries to his feet have hurt his career. He is really slow out there. Prior to his injury, he was a good player.

He needs to be a team player as well. His attitude is a question mark.
