Thanks for pointing this out. I think I'll pick up a couple for my son, who will appreciate them when he's older.

Cool, have to pick up a couple for the kids, my uncle worked on III here in Calgary(he did the stunt props) and I got to meet a couple of the actors, Annette O'Tool(OMG was she hot back then...holy rack!) Richard Pryer, a few now nobodys and Robert Vaughn (who I had to play shoufer because he drank as much as my uncle)
Never got to meet Chris Reeve as he didn't hang out off set...bummer. Would have been cool to meet him.
I just spent the last two hours looking at coins and debating if I should purchase the superman hologram coin because of this thread. My final answer is no. hahaha.
Give it up Canadian Mint. Superman has nothing to do with Canada, no matter where Joe Shuster was born. Why not make a War of the Worlds coin while you're at it? Or something to commemorate Palm Springs?

Sigh.
Why would they give it up? It's a revenue generator. One coin is almost sold out, and the others will probably follow suit.
When the Royal Canadian Mint issues their Stampede collectible, I'll buy you one.
(Not a pricey one, though)
