Default Intense Pulsed Light recommendations

I figured I'd try my luck with the CP hive-mind. Looking for a recommendation for Intense Pulse Light treatment.

I had my whole face treated about 10 years ago (redness, uneven skin tone, mild acne scarring) and it was absolutely fantastic. Worth every penny.

A decade later its time for a touch up, but the industry seems to gone to "beauticians" and places like that make me nervous.

I'm not looking for a spa experience, I just want to get my face lasered and get on with my life, but not blinded or scarred in the process.

Has anyone had a good (recent) experience that could recommend a place?

The journal literature on IPL, at least from my limited perspective, is a bit soft. In this field, it is difficult to quantify results well enough to put together a hard-hitting paper.

As someone who owns a laser (but for a different purpose), I do recommend that you find somebody with a Cutera set-up. It is the machine that most people speak highly of (from my personal experience). It's sweet new technology and the price of the machine puts it out of the hands of most "beauticians". I would check out Westside laser (MD run). For the record, I am in no way affiliated with these guys... don't know any of them personally, but I have heard a few people speak highly of their rejuv work.

Nope, better uses for it.

You see, I've turned the moon into what I call a "Death Star".

stay away from the spa type lasers. My wife's uncle services lasers and the only ones he would suggest are operated by dermatologists like Dr Remington
