Default Anyone know a good tattoo apprentice?

I am getting a fairly basic design for my next tattoo and think its something an apprentice could handle. I dont mind offering myself to someone to build their portfolio, however I would still like some personal recommendations.

I can find great reviews online about various shops/artists, but cant find many about apprentices. If someone could recommend one, that would be great.

Not going to help you, but a guy I used to play hockey with quit his job recently and started apprenticing. He's god awful at tattooing, and I wouldn't wish his work on anybody, even someone I didn't like.

Me personally, I would only trust a reputable one for custom stuff, unless you are getting a book piece.

Good luck. Hope you find somebody who isn't a hack.

Erica Cyr at Ascending Koi has done some decent tatts recently (I follow their page on Facebook) and she's Vince Wishart's apprentice. (Vince did my most recent one)

Take a look:

Do not cut the budget here.

Even if it's a simple design, you could end up with all sorts of issues around scarring, fading, etc..It's a tattoo. It lasts forever. Get it done right.
