UFA Batch #1

Folks here is the first batch of free agents up for bid.

Please re-fresh yourselves on the rules:
UFAs will then hit the market using a bid system whereby players will be bid on in batches throughout the off-season. Players up for bid will be posted on the message board and GMs will email one offer to cphlufa@yahoo.com to sign that player. The player will be awarded to the team that offers the highest average contract amount. If two teams offer the same average contract amount, the player will go to the team that offers the most years, followed by AHL %. In the event that two teams offer identical contracts, the player will be awarded to the team that finished lower in the standings last season.



So remember your email MUST include all of the following details:
- The players you are bidding on
- Term of contract
- Per year salary
- AHL %
- Amount of total cap of the offers you are making
- Amount of cap room you have

If ANY of the above is missing - your bid is trashed. You will not be notified that your offer is invalid until after winning bids are announced. Get it right.

Deadline is Wed at 11:59 PM Calgary time.

With the deadline for batch #1 being last night, how long does it usually take for the bids to be processed and find out who ended up on what team?

I think in past years it's usually been a day or two - might be faster this time around since there's no UFA site to update

Correct the league will try to have the results posted in 1 or 2 days.

There's been years where over the process of the four batches I put in a total of 45 offers on players.

I really feel sorry for the one that has to sort through my teams offers sometimes
