Land based casinos- I will always have an affinity for Cash Casino in RD, but since I've been out in Ontario, Casino Rama in Orellia is nice, and Fallview is amazing. They could bring a WPT event there for sure.

Online- Best software, probably Pokerroom.com. Best place to win money- Pacific. Best place for tourneys - Pokerstars. But i play everywhere to get the bonuses and free stuff.

i play both pokerroom.com and i just started on paradisepoker.com. They are starting a free million tournament where you have to win a qualifying heat to gain entry into the million dollar tournament which is in august. About 500 people enter each heat or so, and top 20 move on. Its free to enter, so might as well give it a shot. Sometimes i head down to the elbow casino to play some limit, but it usually doesnt go to well...i hate limit

I don't go to the casinos myself but my boss is really big on it. We get together once in a while and play on a Saturday night or whatnot, with $10 buy-ins, just for fun. But, he seems to really like the tournaments they have at the Casino on Barlow. $22 buy-ins with a decent amount of people and I think he said he won around $400 one day, pretty nice turn around there. It costs more on Friday's and Saturday's to buy in.

Any casino in Edmonton. They are ALL non smoking now. I can't believe i dont' have to take a shower after every trip! Calgary sucks. Implement the no smoking policy now instead of 2008!!!

For online play I really like Ultimatebet. The software is very fast, and works great. Party Poker isn't too bad either, but mainly because of how many fish there are.

As for Casinos, I'm really liking the new Elbow River Casino. I've played $4-$8 Limit Holdem (with Kill) in their card room, and it was great. Smart dealers, and a good atmosphere.

What are you talking about? Have you even been to a poker room in Calgary? They are all non-smoking. You have to leave the room and go to the regular casino part to have a smoke.

The ABS Casino in Lethbridge is actually pretty nice. They just moved it into a nice new building. Smoking is allowed, but you would hardly tell, it's not super-busy like any casino in Calgary, just kind of has a nice number of people there.

Buyins for tourneys are $50, so I usually play BJ or Roulette: put it all on number 12.

I'm an online poker player......favourite room? Tough to say.

I like the Prima skins, but the players are horrible at Tiger Gaming and SportingBet. Pacific has lots of fish, but you can't play more than one table. Party is ok, but the software is just so damn ugly. I had a bad experience at pokerroom, terrible disfunctional software there. Paradise is ok, but the software's a little slow and it has a three table max. Absolute has nice bonuses, but the tables are all rock gardens. UltimateBet has very nice software, but tough competition and a three table max.

So overall if I had to play at one site for the rest of time it would be SportingBet just cause the players are the worst you'll EVER come across in online poker. They make the party fish look like poker superstars. SB's software is OK at best, with a five table max which is decent.

My perfect poker room?

SportingBet fish.
Tiger Gaming appearence.
Party software.
Absolute bonuses.
Prima multitabling and mini view tables.

Put all those together and you get the perfect poker room.

Yes I play a lot of online poker.
