Icon41 Sharks unveil new home and away uniforms

Home:
http://sharks.nhl.com/club/page.htm?...=DL|SJS|JERSEY

Quote:
The jerseys use the Reebok Play-Dry Stretch Fabric for comfort and for temperature control. To decrease the weight of the jersey, the black shoulder cap was removed. The popular jumping Shark patch will remain on the shoulder. Even more weight was cut out by removing the stripes on the body of the jersey.

The home jersey look is clean, focusing on the Sharks primary color, Pacific Teal. Orange accents were removed from the lettering and numbering as well as the arm stripes. The classic crest logo will still be the centerpiece of the jersey.

To complete a classic look, neckline lacing was added and neckline striping was removed.

The only thing I don't like is the bottoms of the jerseys. Looks unfinished.

Fantastic.

Simple. No random pinstriping, lettermarks, excessive patches, black, etc...It's a little strange to see a hockey jersey without the stripes at the bottom, but the overall concept of simplicity makes that forgetable.

The best part about those jerseys is the bottom, looks sleek and uncluttered

very nice jerseys

i think the only change i would make is add another orange stripe to the sleeves/socks - black/orange/teal/ORANGE/black

the point about "decreasing the weight" of the jersey makes me chuckle. Is a shoulder yoke and waist stripe like wearing an anchor?

I'm digging the move back towards simplicity away from the excessive striping and borders and swooshes and colours that was a trend in the 2000's there.

Like the pictures, but I'll have to see it on a person to know if it really works without a bottom stripe.

People like these? The ones they had before were awesome. This is on par with Carolina's new jerseys.

Yeah they just took their boring alternate black jersey and made this. The old ones actually looked good while these ones look like practice jerseys similar to the Oilers one before they went retro.

Simplicity is good, but going too simple makes a jersey look unfinished. Why not include stripes on the bottom? Also, why are there numbers on the front? That's silly. They essentially kept the worst parts about their previous design (numbers on the front) and threw out the best parts (classic shoulder yoke and stripes design).

These aren't good.

I felt like they were really close to a great jersey with their last set, it was all just very cluttered. Especially when they added anniversary or memorial patches. If they would've just removed the shoulder yoke and those front numbers, replaced the shoulder logo with one of the other 40 logos from their logo set, I think they would've had one of the best sets in the league.

These are nice, but the lack of stripes on the hemline is disappointing. I can make my peace with the front numbers, but the similar chest/shoulder logos was a mistake they should've fixed.

For those who are jersey fanatics, Minnesota is also scheduled to release a new road jersey on September 1st, and the Sabres also have a new third jersey coming out soon. They've been tweeting worthless "sneak peak" pictures for the last two weeks.

Actually I like it without the shoulders and bottom striping.

How would the Flames classic 80s red and white look with the shoulders missing on the old white (new road), and the bottom striping taken away on both?

Me thinks they would be really nice
