What is the grossest food you've ever eaten and did you spit it out?
So, yesterday at work, our chef chopped up a bunch of carrots, celery and cucumbers. I grabbed some cucumbers and my co-worker said 'I still have a bad taste in my mouth from those.' I clearly didn't listen and I took a bite, and spit it out. It tasted like dirt and I don't know what but it was just about the worst tasting thing I ever had. What's the worst food you've had? Was it just bad, or did you just not like it? Did you make a scene?

So similar to oysters? Just add a ton of hot sauce?

Fish Maw soup... I could not spit it out and run screaming because the boyfriend's parents were right beside me. Luckily he saw my reaction and took over consumption duties.
You know what? I am starting to think that real Chinese food misses a whole lot more than it hits. Lotus root stew is another example...

I can't stand the taste of cheese except for on pizza. Stuff like feta or blue cheese have me gagging before I can even put it in my mouth.

Sucking fish brains out of a large fish skull which I cracked open with my teeth. I did not enjoy it.
Also, sucking piping hot marrow out of a pig's femur with a little juice straw. The taste was fine but the experience was unpleasant.
Ducks faces, cow brains and numerous experiences with large intestine prepared in various ways have been a bit unpleasant (not something I would eat again without some pressure) but were quite palatable.

A little do it yourself platter of ant egg and grasshopper tacos while in Mexico. Was somewhat of a mystery dish on the menu at the resort I was at.
Actually managed to finish the whole thing, though with generous potions of salsa and guacamole to aid in the process. Pretty gross but did not want to show weakness in front of the locals. I think they were somewhat fascinated a foreigner would actually order it..

Mosquitoes while riding my bike...
And that odd flavoured, high potency Chinese liquor. Maybe it's lack of alternatives, but I think people in China are brainwashed into thinking that stuff is good.

Snake blood in china ... That #### sucks. Bro got montezumas revenge from it. Try dealing with that on a 15 hour plan trip back to Canada!
