Default Video Not Working - Windows 8

So I just noticed that youtube isn't working properly on my computer. In Firefox, the screen is green, but you can still hear the sound on videos. On IE, the screen is black, but you can still hear the sound.

It might be related to me opening an email from an old friend yesterday. Hadn't heard from him in a year or so, opened the email, and some link opened that was pretty tough to close.

Whatever the cause was, now I don't know how to fix my computer. Does windows 8 have a virus scanner? I poked around in the control panel, but can't find one.
