Default All Time Teams - By Province

As in my last thread, I'm probably undervaluing some old talent, and ranking of lines could be pretty flexible.

Also, my team Western Canada:

Kariya - Messier - Howe
Trottier - Sakic - Neely
Wendel Clark - Yzerman - Recchi
Bucyk - Clarke - Tiger Williams
Toews - Anderson - Iginla

Niedermayer - Shore
Keith - Patrick
Wesley - Weber

Sawchuk
Glen Hall/Bower/Fuhr/Vernon/Belfour/Osgood

If it were a threeway battle with Ontario and Quebec, I rank:

Forwards
Western Canada has the most complete centres with decent wingers + most toughness, Ontario has great playmakers with good wingers + most overall skill, and Quebec is solid all around. Bit of a toss up depending on style of play.

Defence
1. Ontario
2. WC/Quebec (Bourque edges Niedermayer, but the other 5 are pretty similar IMO)

Goaltending
1. Quebec
2. WC (I take Sawchuk over Dryden, but that is the subjectivist or comparisons)
3. Ontario

I think any series between these teams would probably go to 7...not sure who I'd pick!

Ontario teams look incredible.

Quebec looks great, but full of old school players. I guess that says a lot about the current state of hockey in Quebec.

Alberta team looks intriguing.

I would actually love to see a tournament like this, but with current players obviously.

For the Atlantic third d-pairing, dare I say instead of the '?' can we insert the one and only, Adam Pardy from Bonavista, Newfoundland.

Fleury was born in Sask, but he's from Manitoba.

And Regehr should be on the Sask team.

Yes, common knowledge. That being said, Who cares? He was raised In Saskatchewan. Didn't see him playing for team Brazil at the Worlds.

Edit: See Brett Hull as a spare on team Ontario. Guess the OP Is doing where they are born, not where they are considered from.

I liked Tiger Williams but no way would I have him ahead of Iginla, MacDonald and Fleury. Besides that Tiger played LW. I'd put those three ahead of Recchi too.

And S. Niedermayer is on Alberta despite being from Cranbrook.

The reason I didn't bring up Heatley as an alternate. Was going to mention an in his prime 50 goal scoring Heatley would definitely get consideration. Seeing as the Heatleys moved back to Calgary when he was 3 he should probably be eligible but thought not at the expense of giving up Niedermayer

Although for actives that gives them Ward and Myers as well.
