I would have Bergeron ahead of Staal Tavares and Richards.

Crazy how many right handed shots on the back end.
Next best lefties I can think of are: Bouwmeester, Beauchemin, Hamhuis, Giordano...anyone else?
Hard to see where Iggy can figure in unless he's really lighting the lamp. I do think familiarity is a key thing in a short tournament...I'd love to see Lucic over Sharp or Richards. Maybe a Lucic-Bergeron-Iginla line could produce like the Sharks line did last time.
If he's healthy, is there any question that Crosby wears the C? St. Louis & Keith would be my Assistants.
Also, hopefully Marty B is playing well this year!

Brutal, no sandpaper except for Perry's dumb penalties.
And Nash hasn't earned anything in 2 years. Giroux over him easily

I don't see Mr Nash getting top line duty in this tourney.
I think there'll be 3 Cs on the top line to start anyway
Staal - Crosby - Stamkos

Duchane and Bergeron ahead of Sharp and Nash (this is getting silly) at the very least.
Number 6 Dman is a crap shoot, after Keith, Seabrook, Weber, Doughty and Pietrangelo a significant drop off in overall talent becomes apparent.

Patrick Sharp? Very good player, but not among the elite Canadian forwards imo
I'd consider Andrew Ladd, Matt Duchene, Logan Couture before Sharp

Won't be winning with that roster, but at least it doesn't include Hall, RNH and Eberle.

Mike Smith should be head and shoulders above Bernier at this point. Even Reimer has proven more at the NHL level than Bernier.

Brent Burns would be a good selection for one of the surplus spots; could sub in at forward or D

Which Canadians would be ideal to play with him on the wings?
And how come no one is mentioning James Neal?... I guess there's not necessarily room for him, but he deserves a mention

Great player but unless he has a stellar year I don't think he's even in the same league as most of the guys listed. How I feel about him anyways.

how does Yzerman adjust the roster for Olympic size ice? Canada wins in Salt Lake and Vancouver on NHL ice, but lose in Nagano, and Turin on the big ice
great skaters; positionally sound; probably don't need the big physical brutes
Bouwmeester might be ideal

It's on international ice and in Russia, if we send any sandpaper we might as well just send a man to the penalty box to start the game.
