Icon59 Horcoff to Dallas for 2016 7th rd pick and Larsen

per Mckenzie

Bob McKenzie ‏@TSNBobMcKenzie 28s Sounds like EDM has something on the go with DAL to send Shawn Horcoff there.

If the Oilers don't have to give up anything else significant, MacTavish will be GM of the year.

Third line Center. They (Dallas) need that. Interested to see what goes the other way. Robidas?

Edit: Wait, they just got Peverly, why the fudge would they want Horcoff?

Must be Horcoff + a good player for a 7th rounder.

Who would want that contract?

What does Peverly have to do with anything? Nobody in the world should want Horcoff.

Bob McKenzie ‏@TSNBobMcKenzie 17s Horcoff is off to DAL. Believe it's for a draft pick. TBA. Horcoff has a $5.5M cap hit but has 2 yrs remaining at $4M and $3M, respectively.

Jim Nill is looking to temper fan expectations that he only makes awesome trades all the time?

Now the Seguin trade makes sense, they just got him to flip for Horcoff.

Looks like they want to make the cap floor in Dallas. Horcoff spent some time at Michigan St. too, so he might have some connections with Nill.

Pretty stupid that the Oilers were able to get rid of that terrible contract without having to give up assets, or pay half of his salary.

Darren Dreger ‏@DarrenDreger 4s Waiting for final details. @TSNBobMcKenzie, but told Horcoff to Dallas involves a few pieces.

Yeah, there's gotta be more. Makes sense. No way they can rid themselves of that garbage contract without adding something.
