Default Fridge/Ice Maker Question/Issue

in the last week or so my fridge (a fridgidaire side by side with the freezer on the bottom) has started to drop big chunks of ice in the ice drawer instead of nice cubes - anyone have any suggestions on what the issue might be?

I quickly perused the net but could not locate anything with my issue - but it is possible that i have not looked hard enough.

Please note, buring the fridge with fire is not an option at this point.

If i don't get this fixed soon, I may have to buy ice at the superstore Liquor Store.

There is a float that stops the water when the tray is full, I suspect this is pooched and it continues to fill, freezes in big chunks that end up in the ice tray.
