AB Flood Fundraisers Thread

Hi CP,

I thought I could start a new thread for everyone to promote any fundraising events that they're hosting or attending over the coming months to help with flood relief efforts.

We are running our spin and strength classes for free with a $5 donation (minimum) today and tomorrow (June 29 & 30) at Vita Fitness in Bridgeland. The first spin class is already done and went great. Come check it out!

Rowan House, the short-term emergency women's and family centre in High River, was submerged in the flood. Indeterminate yet if their facility is recoverable. They are a registered charity. Residents were evacuated to other shelters in the emergency.

They are accepting donations of cash as well as NEW women's and children
clothing articles and toiletries at the 108th Annual Millarville Races on Monday, July 1, Canada Day, as well as Millarville Farmers' Markets.

There are lots of problems in the world and you can't solve them all. You can, however, pick one or two and try to solve those.

Admission to Canada's Sports Hall of Fame is free with a $2 donation on Canada Day. Proceeds will go to flood relief efforts. For those not in the know, Canada's Sports Hall of Fame is located at COP. The giant red building.

There will be special activities running from 11-3. Face painting, obstacle course set up by the gymnastics centre, arts and crafts, and lots of games. And of course the galleries will be open.
