Ponds/lakes likely still not ready but what about places like Canyon Meadows? It was good to go by November 20th last year. Is it open yet? Anybody playing outside? ODR

Glad to see this thread pop up and am looking forward to some outdoor ice!

I have heard that Cranston actually has refrigeration (but I've never been there so can't confirm it) so they might be one of the earlier ones to open up. Looks like a few days of above zero weather coming up...they might all wait another week or two for a prolonged cold snap.

See you out there!

Cranston is open but you need a membership to skate there. Yes, it's refrigerated and it's flooded daily. I was in the area the last few weekends, and it was insanely busy. 2 goalies (full pads) and at least 30 skaters Saturday afternoon. Saturday mornings are more kid friendly apparently.

Looks like this warm spell will probably put the brakes on most rinks opening for another week or two....can't wait!

I drove by the Southwood rink today - I saw ice on the non-boards rink, and looked like the real rink was flooded too (nets were tilted against the boards).

Also drove by Haysboro and there were guys on the rink with snowblowers. Must have been clearing in preparation for a flooding.

Hidden Hut in Hidden Valley. There's also a rink at a nearby school along 14th St, but can't think of the name.
