Glad the MacLean got the Jack Adams, far more deserving than the other two. He was a wizard getting the Sens to the Playoffs missing their Three big players for most of the Season.

Weird timing this month, with people in the media talking about offseason moves and awards being handed out while the Cup is still up for grabs. Thanks lockout.

Insider trading on TSN: Huberdeau will win the Calder and Ovechkin will win the Hart. Announced tomorrow as you said.
The vote breakdowns are always good for some face palming.
Selke votes
Jack Adams votes
GM of the year votes
Lady Byng votes

Nonis was 7th place in GM of the year voting.
Made 1 trade (Mike Brown to Edmonton) and picked McLaren off waivers.

Interesting to not see Peter Charelli on the list of GMs. Also a pretty tight race for the Selke, would have been satisfied with either. Bergeron with more 1st place votes though.

What is the reasoning behind holding these now instead of at the big event in Vegas? Were the ratings terrible for the show?

There's no time. Game 7 of the Finals is scheduled for four days before the Draft. Trying to fit an awards ceremony in between those two would be virtually impossible. If they waited until early July to hold the awards, they'd have problems with people being scattered all around and distracting from free-agency and other off-season stuff.

It's a way to rile up the Bruins so they can win the Cup again.

How insane would it be if Bobrovsky wins the Vezina then bolts for the KHL? Columbus has to pony up, not only for their integrity but the NHL's in general.

Good for Ovechkin, even if he didn't 100% deserve it. Funny how midway through the year everyone said he was on the downslope, wasn't near the level of Crosby (or even a top 10/30 player), and some even said he was untradeable.
Fast forward a couple months later and he wins another Hart Trophy. He's now the first player since Gretzky/Lemieux to win the trophy three times. The only other player to win three or more times since expansion is Bobby Clarke.
Pretty incredible for someone who a few thought was finished or KHL bound at one point.

They had to give Montreal something, they probably had the most unexpected turnaround in the league. They went from dead last in the conference to second place. Pretty astounding change, even if much of it can be accounted to the shortened season.
Although to your point I would argue Markov was better than Subban this season, and was more of a reason for Montreal's success.
