Huge loss of a great acting talent.

Sad news. Hans Gruber was his first movie role, spectacular. If you haven't already, check out Galaxy Quest with Rickman, Tim Allen and Sigourney Weaver.

Other than his major roles I loved him in Dogma as Metatron. Liked him in Bottle Shock too.

I'm just heartbroken over this news, I love Alan Rickman. I'm a huge Harry Potter fan, just watched Die Hard again over Christmas break. What a loss, just terrible terrible news.

Nobody could play a villain like Alan Rickman. He was brilliant in Robin Hood.

He really was spectacular as Hans. One of the best movie villians ever. He was so convincing that I have to tell myself that I'm sure the actor was a nice guy, and that I should indeed be sad that he is dead.
It's hard to imagine either Die Hard, or the Harry Potter movies without him.

I feel pretty confident calling Hans Gruber the best movie villain ever. Because you loved him and wanted him to win, even though he was a guy who tried to blow up a roof full of innocent people. Of course Rickman had many great roles beyond that, but what he did with Hans is legendary. He will be missed.
