This has been one of Canada's time-honoured institutions, and I salute their outstanding contribution to law and order in our country...particularly the West and far North. I hope they manage to maintain the high honour and respect its members enjoyed in past years.
One of my good friends is a mountie. They are an elite police force and yet they are easily the most approachable and friendly national police force in the entire world, IMHO. It was a lifelong dream for him and I am incredibly proud of him.
Besides, how can you not love someone in this uniform.
