Fireside Chat: Logo Opinion
Hello CP'ers. We've got some logo concepts done up for Fireside Chat, and can't make up our mind which one we want to use, so we thought we'd reach out to the community. I don't want to plug, but for those that don't know, these logos are for Fireside Chat, a weekly Flames fan podcast.
Please reply and let us know which logo you like better - 1 or 2.

Yeah agreed with logo 2. Easier to read and sharper look. The burning mic is cool tho.

#2 for me as well.
#1 makes me think the person speaking into it has breath so bad, the mic burst into flames.

#2 looks like the kind of place that would have good barbecue and a decent variety of types of hot wings.

The concept of the burning mike in option 1 is considerably stronger, but the execution feels dated. Like 90s dated.
I'm gonna be annoying and do what my clients tell me all the time. Take the idea from #1 and execute it in the style of #2.

I think number 1 is a more timeless logo, that or already outdated. The 2nd logo i think will be dated in a few years.

I don't think Apple likes that. It might even prevent them from having the logo/podcast in iTunes.

1 reminds me of something you'd see in a previous era of the internet...much like the regular CP logo. The starburst attracts my eye too much and since I'm not a fan of the CP logo and the typography is similar it's not as appealing. Again, it looks like something more popular years ago.
The second one is much cleaner and I like the simple typography.
