Bobrovsky is pretty much a shoe in, if you ask me.

Bobrovsky should win this. The only reason he might not is because his team did not make the playoffs. Even then it should not matter.

Yeah, I think Bobo was the only goalie in the league to actually perform to the standards of a Vezina winner. Goaltending in general was kinda underwhelming this season

I think Niemi wins only for the fact that Columbus did not make the playoffs. My vote, if I had one, would definitely be for Bob though.

I'm surprised that Anderson didn't even get a nomination. I know he was injured and only played 24 games, but he led the league in Sv % and GAA by a significant margin. He's the best in the league right now in my opinion.

I agree he should win based on his work this season but going forward I wouldn't be shocked if Bobrovsky turns into another flash in the pan goaltender having a career season. Niemi on the other hand has really opened my eyes in that you can make a case he's now amongst the NHL's elite.

who cares if the BJs made the playoffs or not. THis is for the Vezina. Not the Hart. Bobrovsky is an easy choice.

Bobrovsky was the best goalie this season, if all things being equal he will win the Vezina.

Bobrovsky for the win.

I think the Vezina is the only award with a clear cut favorite. Hart, Calder, Norris, and Adams could go any way.

I'd say Bobrovsky, even though I would like to see Niemi win it. Why is Lundqvist there again?

Bobrossky shouldnt win. The best goalie in the leauge should be able to drag his team to the playoffs on his own. He didnt so I dont think he should win, nominated yes, nut not win. I dont like the Lundquist nomination for the same reason. With the team the rangers had id Lundquist was as good as he was in past years the rangers would have benn better than they were. Lundquist was only about 5th-7th in GAA and save percentage.

Personally I would have gone with Anderson. They lost their top defensemen and forward and made the playoffs. Yes Anderson only played in half the games but he was by a huge margin the best goalie in the games that he played.

So my nominations would have been Niemi, Bobrosky, Anderson with Anderson winning. Based on the NHLs nominees I would go with Niemi.

That's bull####. No goalie who played the full season would kept the Blue Jackets in the hunt until the very last day. So if Detroit or Minnesota lost their last game would that magically makes Bobrovsky the best goalie in the league since his team is now in the playoffs?

So...it's Bobrovsky's fault his team had the third least goals for in the Western Conference? Hate to break it to you, but no goalie can drag a team to the playoffs on his own. They can be a big factor, sure, which Bobrovsky was in giving his team a chance. If his backup had gone 3-5-2, instead of 3-6-1, they would have been in.

I agree that Bobrovsky should win it. Actually expected Rask to get a nomination instead of Panda Brewmaster (Niemi) and I think if he had a couple more wins he might have been.

Yep, Bobroskies fault, all he had to do was when one more game. 1 extra shootout win and they make the playoffs. (Not really, but he could have dragged the team in by getting one more point)

In principle if you are one of the leagues best players your performance should drag a team to they playoffs. One elite defenseman, or Forward, or Goalie should get you to the playoffs with mediocre players around them.

Outside of that Andersons stats are better and with injuries he played on a worse team.

Edit: what i meant to say was if you have the best player in the league at a position your team should make the playoffs. I agree that elite players routinely do not make the playoffs.

If Anderson played on a worse team and he missed half the season, how did they make the playoffs? And so securely too? Either Anderson wasn't very important to them or maybe you're just wrong.

And elite players miss the playoffs all the time. Iginla in 2002 was elite, didn't stop the Flames from missing the playoffs.

If you're arguing that Anderson was a better goalie in the games he played, that's a very fair argument. In the end, it's hard to say. Would he have done just as good if he played the full season? Maybe, maybe not. Crosby should have won the Art Ross but the injury prevented him, it's a bit more cut and dry when dealing with points but it's close to the same principal.

If you're arguing that Bobrovsky wasn't the best goalie (of the healthy ones) because his team didn't make the playoffs, that's an incredibly stupid argument.
