Once Iggy was traded I heard he left the Flames organization to move to Saskatchewan to become the Riders big voice . . . .. . . . .

How? He doesn't sound bad at all. And you should listen to the other announcers around the league. (Hint: Up north)
Beesly is special though.

Beezly reminds me too much of the announcer of Rehabilitation from the movie 'Idiocracy'. I'd prefer something more 2013.

"Dee Oylerz Goal!" That guy is the worst. So obnoxious.
Honestly I don't think the Hitmen guy is too bad. Beasley is awesome too though.

Unless Beasly is protesting the embarrassingly bad Ducksaucse "Barbara Striesand" goal song the Flames game presentation staff still think is "cool", then I am fine with him coming back when that is changed. If he's just away for a holiday or personal reasons I don't mind the Hitmen guy taking over, a breath of fresh air.
No Strachan either, outside of a few games at the beginning of the year which is also fine.
Call it bitching and moaning but when going to well over half the games each year for the past 10 years, somewhat qualified in saying that the whole game presentation needs an overhaul or at least refreshing along with everything else top to bottom this offseason. Having the above changes is part way there; certainly a new goal song, as this current one is a complete joke that appeals to absolutely no demographic...it was a novelty the same way "Call on me" was played for Kotalik a few times two years ago. Overall the whole become tired/predictable/stale (see the America's Funniest Home Video bloopers that are recycled and repeated from years ago).
Also, the national anthem...halfway through the year they added the organ music back, which drowns out and Heather Liscanso's timing gets thrown off.
I will give credit...the "figure out which a Flame this is" where they ask the kid the easy question with a big picture (Kiprusoff) and the parent a tough question (last night a zoomed in picture of Martin Brochu and Beniot Gratton) is pretty good.
But overall, hopefully the house is cleaned in many ways, and they recognize its time for a upgraded or at least different experience then fans going to the 'Dome are used to (and, on another topic, those that are watching the game with Kerr describing the action).
/end of home season rant

Oh yeah, the guy that sounds like 90 year old dude trying to pinch off a loaf. We could definitely do worse than the Hitmen guy I guess.

I work with Beesley in his "real job". He's been busy lately, and I think he's taking some time off from Flames duties.

Beesley is the best in the business and it's not even close. Not sure why anyone wouldn't want him back.
Look at what the fans up north have to deal with.

The guy who did the announcing last night would have been fine - if I could hear him. His voice (mostly) is of a timbre that simply doesn't carry well in the noisy Dome....and actually that is a problem as well with most of the interviews. They need to drop the bass frequencies a bit, boost the mids to highs and they'll be much easier to hear. Otherwise mostly what one gets is somewhat mumblish mush.

My personal opinions of Beasly's style aside, comparing anything in the Flames organization to what's going on in Edmonton is far from a justification or positive re-enforcement.
And, "Hitmen Guy" does have a name....Bruce Ritchie, right?

The new guy mumbles a lot. Everyone in our section was just staring at each other saying "what the heck did this guy just say"?
Sounded like gibberish.

Sounds like he might be a C-Train driver by trade! Have you heard those guys make their announcements?

One guy I don't miss is Steve Strachan. Haven't seen him for the last 10 games or so.

Beesley has always been too 'Monster truck show.' for my tastes. When he dials the know back a bit, he is way better in my eyes.

Beesly or no Beesly, it has no impact on the enjoyment of the game. Either because the announcer role is a fairly minimal contributor to the quality of the experience, or the Hitmen guy isn't half bad. Likely a bit of both.
