Damn. Crazy game 1 goes to OT with final shots being 42-39.

Yotes blow a 2 goal lead heading into the third. LA wins in OT. Close close game as expected. Will have to hope the team bounces back next game. Keep losing close games and this series could be over quicker then expected.

Hmm actually hung in there - 33-30 shots on goal. This was a game we could've won - the fact we didn't though is a concern. We need to win the close games.

Could be a short series.

I think all stats pages are updating correctly but let me know if anyone sees something that isn't.

Sabres spotted the Isles a 3 goal lead, and clawed back to make it 3-2, but not good enough in the end. Alex Steen was the Sabres best player and Aaron Rome contributed a rare goal . Willie Mitchell was the 2nd star for the Isles but was later lost to injury

Didn't see that coming, but good start, hopefully that's not all my offense in the series.

5 different goal scorers, 2 by O. Jokinen. Hopefully this special teams advantage will hold up, but not counting on it.

Yikes, 14 seconds into OT. Way to come out prepared guys.

Going to have to regroup and refocus for the next game. Give 110 percent and all that jazz.

Quick played well and both lines produced as the Ducks manage to win game 1. Hopefully we can limit the SOG next game and sneak out another win.

MVP candidate Eric Staal leads the Sens to a game 1 thrashing of the Devils. Staal had 2 goals and 2 assists in game 1. Antti Niemi remains unbeaten as a Sen as he made 38 saves for the victory. Unfortunately, the Sens have lost dman Jack Johnson for at least a week with an injury.

Islanders played with 5 D most of the game with Mitchell going down, looks like he will miss one game, could have been alot worse. We will be missing our top +/- player. On the plus we retain home ice advantage. Deadline acquisition Greg Campbell's goal was enough for the game winner.

Crazy game in Phoenix!

The Yotes looked like they were in control with a 2 goal lead going into the 3rd period. As we all know though, the 2 goal lead is the worst lead in hockey!

Kings storm back scoring 3 in a row and look like they might steal the win until Gaustad pots one with 11 seconds left on the clock.

Luckily, King Henrik was able to put it away in OT to give the Kings a 1-0 series advantage.

It's going to be a loooooooooong series.

It's very nice. It's good to have a team on the upswing and am looking forward to future success.
