Default Do you dole out any vigilante justice?

My big one this time of year with all the gravel on the roads is not letting big trucks change lanes or merge in front of me if they don't have mud flaps. Or even smaller vehicles like Jeeps if they have knobby tires. I'm not risking a $40 windshield chip or a chip in my paint because you're too big of a loser to put mud flaps on after installing mudders.

When at a red light and someone beside me is texting on their phone, I'll give a little bit of gas and make it look like the light turned green.

They panic, drop their phone and step on the gas.

I've boxed people in the intersection when they run the red light on an advance green. I've also made it look like I was going to t-bone people who run stop signs to the point a women passenger put up her arms to brace for impact.

I was driving 2 days ago and saw a van cut off a school bus while trying to merge onto Stoney. When I passed the van, I noticed the guy, mid 30's was reading/texting on his phone. That makes me insane. At a red light....I don't care, and I will admit I do it myself. But while going 100+, you should NOT be checking your phone whatsoever.

I saw a girl doing it the other day too. I was going 110 on the 100km/h Stoney. She was riding my ass and I was not letting her by. As I checked the rear view, I saw her constantly checking her phone. I braked to a full stop in the fast lane of Stoney (obviously not the smartest idea), got out of the car and screamed at her to put her efin phone away. I know I scared the crap out of her but didn't care at all.

A few days before that (it's been a busy week) I was almost through a playground zone when I saw the car behind me catch up to me very quickly, clearly not doing 30km/h. Again, slammed the breaks. Jumped out and walked back to him. Asked if he knew he blew through a playground school and then chewed him out because he still had his phone IN his hand even as I approached the car.

I'm a hypocrite, because I drive fast sometimes, and even check my phone if I'm at a red light, but for some reason, and I don't know why, I go nuts when I see someone texting while driving.

One time I watched this hick (actual hick, I am in Saskatchewan keep in mind) park his huge jacked up truck across two handicap stalls before walking into the bank. Like seriously, two stalls. You might get away with this in Rosthern or Melville with your population 500 and nobody is at the General Store at that time of day, but in a busier city that is a no no. I got flash backs to going places with my Mom, who was in a wheel chair, and having to park at the back of the lot and help her wheel her way through the deep snow because asshats without the proper identification were parked in her handicap stall. It honestly seems to be a huge problem with a lack of respect for the handicapped in Saskatchewan.

So I took out my keys, put three inbetween my fingers and made the deepest scratch from the front bumper to the back bumper, and whistled my way to my car and drove away.

If I'm walking through the Plus 15 system and the person in front of me doesn't hold the door, I make a point of quickly walking past them and then hold the next door for an extended period of time for them.

^Read an article about a grandson who got an emergency call from his grandmother that she was having a heart attack in a bank.

He was an off duty paramedic and rushed to her aid. He came out to his truck later to find that somebody keyed his truck. "What kind of person does this to someone in one of their worst moments in their life? I want to get some vigilante justice for this" he said.

Are these all really vigilante justice or just passive aggression?

Why would anyone "pretend" to t-bone a vehicle or try to get them to go into an intersection while the light is red? I hate inattentive drivers and people crowding intersections like everyone else, but I fail to see how willfully trying to put them in dangerous situations is a good idea.

Hmm... looks like another 'things you do to be an a-hole' Sliver thread.

Now loaded with more justification.

Sometimes I wonder, "there's some good people on CP, where are all these dicks I see throughout the city?".

Now I know. Some of you are major ######bags.

Directly addressing the thread title, when I heard the details of the Raetaeh Parsons case, I had a few hours of rage with a lot of wishing I could dole out a whole lot of vigilante justice.
